Nick Hussain - 'Tides'
My poster portrays the treacherous journey refugees are forced to take to escape turmoil, alongside the tools of violence that cause them to flee, both presented within one graphically abstracted double entendre. Bob Dylan's politically driven words are incorporated and altered to frame the context projecting a sense of hope and looming change. It was important to use the limitations to my advantage, particularly the layer numbers allowed. The message needed to be clear with just one layer, I could then isolate the secondary colour within a sea of the primary creating that sense of vastness and surrounding peril.
